Preventing Workplace Violence
Preventing Workplace Violence is a WorkSafe course developed by the WorkSafeBC. It aims at providing employers and workers with tools to reduce workplace violence, which has increasingly become a concern within a number of occupational sectors.
This course is suitable for anyone who is committed to preventing violence in the workplace.
	Course Length: 8 Hours
	Cost Includes: Books, Handouts, Examination Examination: Written multiple choice
In this course students will learn:
	- About violence in the workplace
	- Violence risk assessment
	- Violence prevention procedures
	- Violence prevention programs
	- Industry specific workshops

Successful participants will be awarded a WorkSafe Certificate. Students may also apply to BCIT for .5 unit of credit towards an elective component in BCIT’s Occupational Health and Safety Certificate Program.
