By achieving and maintaining a valid COR, companies are able to earn a financial incentive through the WCB's Partners in Injury Reduction program. It should also be noted that many large companies now require that contractors hold a valid COR in order to bid of projects.
There are several benefits to participating in the COR Program:
- Protecting the well-being of your workers is the right thing to do.
- Your corporate image will be enhanced with a strong culture of safety, ultimately attracting safety conscious workers.
- Achieving COR will position your organization with a competitive advantage.
- More and more organizations are telling us that COR certification is a requirement to bid on jobs.
- You will have all the tools in place for a healthy and safe workplace.
Upon completion of the COR Program and achieving a successful audit, your organization will have a comprehensive company health and safety program in place along with a corresponding manual. There are also financial benefits. Your organization will be eligible to receive up to 15% on WorkSafeBC base assessments.
